The End of The Voyage

We ended the cruise only a few kilometres away from where we started, just across the port at a different wharf in Yokohama. Although we were technically here for two days, in reality we came in mid-day, docked, and then left for our air connection home the next day. There were some excursions offered for the rest of the day when we arrived, but frankly we were just too knackered to partake in any. We just rested on the ship while our companions walked into the city a few hundred metres from the wharf and did some snooping around. There was also a lovely waterside park close by as well, but we were content to just relax and take a few photos from the ship.

A view looking out from the port at the Yokohama Bay Bridge.

A view from our window seat as we leave the airport on route to Vancouver. Despite being in a city, there is an amazing amount of farmland visible.

The End Of The Trip

With the end of a fantastic trip at hand, we had but to collect our kit and head off to the airport. Unfortunately, we departed the ship in the morning but our flight out didn’t take off until late in the afternoon. So we had a lot of time to kill at the airport. Despite the airport having a lot of shopping experiences to partake in, we decided to steel ourselves against the temptation and simply occupied our time reading.
